We are proud to again offer virtual attendance at the Lipoedema Australia Conference (LAC) for the fourth time! For many in our community, this is a vital way to connect, learn and feel part of the conference when travelling is not possible.
Our virtual attendees have consistently told us how important it is to be able to take part when barriers make attending in person difficult - whether those barriers relate to distance, health, energy levels, cost, caring responsibilities, work or other commitments.
You can join us live from home, ask questions, meet others in the community, explore the virtual exhibition and catch up on sessions you could not watch live.
Providing a virtual attendance option also means that lipoedema patients from around the globe can join us to find out all the latest developments in the field, and connect with other patients in instances where travel would otherwise be a barrier to attending.
Whether you join us in Melbourne or online, you will be part of a welcoming community coming together to share knowledge, lived experience and support.

Your virtual registration includes:
While we aim to give virtual attendees access to as much of the LAC VII program as possible, some activities or workshops may not be able to be streamed or recorded because of their location or the nature of the activity.
Once released, the program will clearly identify any sessions or activities that are not available virtually.
All main Lipoedema Australia Conference sessions will be live-streamed and recorded.
Recordings will be uploaded as soon as possible after each session, but please allow up to three days for them to appear on the platform. Sessions are not available to watch on a short delay while they are taking place.
Because the Conference includes concurrent sessions, you won't be able to watch every session live. Your 90 days of play-on-demand access means you can catch up on sessions that run at the same time as others, or revisit sessions whenever it suits you.
In-person delegates also receive 90 days of play-on-demand access, so they can catch up on concurrent sessions too.

If you would like to attend any sessions in person, you will need to purchase an in-person registration.
In-person registration also includes virtual access, so you can watch sessions online if you need to rest, manage your energy levels, or catch up on a concurrent session from your hotel room. This can help you take part in the Conference in a way that works best for you.
Virtual attendance is only available for Lipoedema Australia Conference (LAC) sessions.
LAC sessions will be both live-streamed and recorded for on-demand viewing.
Lipedema World Congress (LWC) sessions will be recorded, but they will not be available to virtual attendees during the Conference and will be released at a later date.
If you would like to attend LWC sessions, these are being run in person only - please visit the Lipedema World Congress website to register for these.
We recommend watching sessions through the online portal on a computer, tablet or larger screen. While it is technically possible to watch on a phone, the portal provides a much better viewing experience than the Conference App.
All session times will be listed in Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT). Please check the time in your local time zone before the sessions you wish to attend live.
Virtual attendees can ask questions in any live session. Questions submitted online will go into the same queue as questions from in-person delegates.
You can also use the chat rooms and forums to connect with other virtual attendees, share experiences and take part in Conference conversations.
The Conference App and participant directory are available to virtual attendees, making it easier to connect with others before, during and after the Conference.
Our online platform offers language interpretation. It does not currently provide closed captioning. If you require captions, you may be able to use browser-based live captions or a third-party transcription app.
If you have accessibility requirements, please contact us and we will work with you to identify available options.

Virtual attendees will have access to a virtual exhibition area, where you can learn about our sponsors and exhibitors, interact with them online and arrange meetings to discuss their products or services.
We will also endeavour to provide a video tour of the physical exhibition area, so virtual attendees can get a sense of what is happening onsite, and "meet" the exhibitors.
